CoCo – ChIP-on-chip online

CoCo

CoCo is a computational tool that allows the user to search, visualise and store different data associated with gene expression. The program integrates ChIP-on-chip, expression profiling and in-situ hybridisation data to create a user specified ‘configuration’. The data can then be visualised and searched on a user friendly interface, which displays all data as well as the surrounding genes. The user can zoom in and out to different genomic regions and save images of the displayed data.

The image on right shows a CoCo picture of the genomic location of the Mhc gene (orange). The grey stacked bars represent the 3kb fragments on our microarray that tile across the gene locus. Each bar in a stack represents the median results of one ChIP-on-chip experiment at a given developmental time-point. In the example shown there are five developmental time-points, therefore 5 bars per stack, going from 2-4hrs in development at the top to 10-12hrs at the bottom. The red coloured bars represent the genomic fragments that were significantly bound by the transcription factor.
